APIs and UIs. It's a full-stack thing
My Story
My interest in electronics and programming stems from my studies at KTH and time spent working as a software developer consultant. In addition to working with frameworks such as React and Vue, I have experience in OOP and functional programming. Through my experience with various consultancy projects, I have worked in collaborative and agile development environments.
Having developed both web applications as well as mobile applications, I am a full stack developer with keen interest in front end and exposure to back end development. Aspects of challenges and problem solving fuel my passion as a developer. It is my vision to create something that enables people to accomplish their tasks more efficiently and simplify their lives.
FEATURED WORK
TimeIT
In a research project with a consulting firm, I analyzed their employee time reporting system. My goal was to understand why low motivation was leading to inaccurate reporting. Through this research, I identified the system's cumbersome nature, specifically the excessive number of clicks required to report time. To address this, I developed a solution: a Slack bot that streamlined the process. This bot significantly reduced the number of clicks needed, making time reporting less of a chore and hopefully increasing employee engagement.
Rebase Energy Map
In my time at a startup focused on energy solutions, I tackled the challenge of global energy data collection. I developed data parsing scripts that gathered production and consumption information from diverse sources around the world. Recognizing the importance of making this data readily available, I went on to create an API, essentially an access point, to share the collected information. This innovative approach streamlined access to valuable data, empowering stakeholders across the energy sector to make informed decisions.
Royal Unibrew App
At Royal Unibrew, a leading beverage company known for its diverse portfolio and commitment to innovation, I helped them modernize their B2B sales. Previously reliant on in-person interactions with micromanagement, they sought a state-of-the-art application for their clients to streamline ordering, inventory management, and communication. Recognizing the need for a personalized touch, I developed localized versions of the app catering to their international clientele. I also implemented features like inventory management, push notifications, and Google Analytics, while ensuring responsiveness across all screen sizes. Through stakeholder meetings, I identified pain points and suggested efficient, cost-effective solutions. Praised for my ability to meet tight deadlines, I delivered a solution that transformed their B2B sales process.
DTR1 Editor
I joined DTR1 Tech, an energy startup empowering power grid expansion. They needed a web app to visualize and edit complex grid simulations, currently limited to non-visual text files. As part of an agile team, I leveraged my front-end expertise and UI/UX best practices to build a user-friendly system. I implemented efficient data structures and algorithms to handle large-scale grids and multiple operations. Additionally, I co-developed a unified file format for universal data exchange. This project helped DTR1 Tech unlock the potential of their grid simulation software.
Park5
I developed a native Android application in Kotlin, focusing on solving the common problem of finding available parking spaces. Leveraging a crowd-sourced approach, the app allows users to both locate nearby parking and mark spaces as occupied or vacant, creating a dynamic and self-updating database. As the user base grows, this information becomes increasingly valuable, helping users find empty spots quickly and efficiently. I prioritized user experience by adhering to best practices in UI/UX design and mobile app development frameworks, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user journey. My project demonstrates my proficiency in Kotlin programming, understanding of user-centric design principles, and ability to deliver user-friendly solutions on the Android platform.
Pearl By Madhuri
Using Wix Studio, I built a user-friendly e-commerce website for a jewelry store. This platform allowed for efficient CMS management, ensuring accurate product information. Additionally, seamless customer experiences were facilitated through the integration of payment and delivery services. Finally, custom scripts were implemented to automate promotional offers and loyalty programs, leading to increased customer engagement and retention.
